Just Say No: Enamel Pins About Setting Boundaries

Just a short update on how everything with Just Say No is moving along! This week we received a few in-progress photos from our pin manufacturer

It's so fun to see the physical manifestation of our ideas and to get this glimpse at the early stages of production. We can't wait to see them with the enamel and gold plating applied and to finally hold these in our hands!

The acrylic keychains are out for delivery and I should have them today. Carrie has also ordered samples of the stickers to check colors before placing that final order. 

It's just a matter of weeks until we start packing orders and sending them off to you all! We can't wait!

Hello dear backers,

Thank you to everyone who got the survey completed! As of this update, we have 94% of surveys submitted. This week we tallied counts and placed our pin order with the manufacturer. We can't wait to see the pins in person and get them out to you!

With 6-8 weeks estimated for the manufacturer to get everything in our hands, here is what our timeline is looking like:

When surveys lock, you will need to contact us if you need to make changes. So please look over your surveys and make any changes before that date.

Finally, I wanted to give a shoutout to Carrie's latest project: Tidal Treasures. It's in the final days of the campaign. (The octopus is my favorite, but I'm also super excited for the Pride-themed sea stars!)

We're moving right along with surveys and as of this writing, we have 48 outstanding. Thank you to everyone who has gotten your survey completed! Our goal is to get at least 90% of surveys completed before we feel confident about counts in order to start submitting orders to the manufacturers. The deadline for surveys is June 30th, but the sooner we can get to at least 90%, the sooner we can start ordering.

Additionally, we fixed an issue with surveys for pledge tiers that included "One of Every Pin Design." If you pledged for one of the tiers that included that option, you should now see a 6-pin bundle line item in your cart. This bundle is for the pins that don't need you to make a color choice. No action is needed on your part, but let us know if your cart does not include that (or is missing anything else that you expect to see). If you have any outstanding questions or concerns, please send over an email to [email protected] and we'll get it sorted.

That's it for now. We should be on pace for fulfillment in late August, but will update you again once we have orders placed and receive a timeline from the manufacturers.

Thank you so much for your patience while Crystal and I finished prepping the surveys! We'll be sending out a "smoke test" round later today, where a few lucky backers get an early opportunity to help us resolve any potential technical issues with the surveys before we send them out to everyone else, which should happen in the next day or two.

Please note that we're testing out a beta feature where you will not be charged for shipping until closer to the fulfillment date. We're hoping this will allow us to get the most accurate shipping prices and ensure we're giving everyone the most economical shipping prices possible.

We've put the finishing touches on all of the artwork for the pins, stickers, and acrylic charms, so as soon as we've got the majority of the surveys in we plan to send quantities to our manufacturers and get production started on all the rewards.

Hello dear backers! We hope you have been doing well. 

Carrie and I took a much-needed breath after the excitement of Pintopia before getting to work on prepping the survey and pre-order store. Since this is my first campaign, I've been learning how the Pledge Manager works. It turns out when you have 12 different pin designs + variants, things get a bit complicated! I have learned a lot in the past month.

We have finally cobbled it all together and are submitting our Pledge Manager for review shortly. Once BackerKit gives us the go-ahead, we'll be sending out a smoke test to a group of randomly-selected backers to find & work out any issues. After any bugs are fixed, the rest of the surveys will be sent out so you can tell us which pins, keychains, and stickers you'd like.

Some of you may be wondering what the survey is! For those of you new to crowdfunding, the survey is where you confirm your campaign rewards and make choices about colors. You will also have the opportunity to select additional items if you'd like to (in case you'd like to gift a Fuck No Marquee to all of your friends!). Once a majority of backers complete their surveys, we'll have an idea of how many of each item we need to order from the manufacturer.

We are eager to move on to the next stage of this project and look forward to seeing what you all choose in your surveys. Thank you for your patience as we get the admin stuff squared away!
